Jeanne C. Doremus

Jeanne C. Doremus has practiced law in Aspen for over 30 years and started her law firm in 2002, having previously practiced with other law firms in the Aspen area. Jeanne specializes in providing legal counsel to individuals and families in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate, Real Estate and Business. Jeanne is known for her compassion and extensive expertise in representing and working closely with her clients.

 

A local graduate of Aspen High School, Jeanne obtained her B.A. degree in Economics from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 1981 and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver College of Law in 1991.

 

Jeanne is a strong member of the valley-wide community and has actively participated in many local non-profit organizations. Jeanne is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, Trusts and Estates Section, the Pitkin County Bar Association and Aspen Valley Land Trust where she continues to be passionate and volunteers her time on conservation projects that benefit our valley.

 

Jeanne served as the founding member of Alpine Legal Services, President of the Aspen Child Care Board, President of the Aspen Youth Center Board, President of the Wildwood School Board and President of the Pitkin County Bar Association. Jeanne also served on the Aspen School District General Election Committee, co-chair of Aspen High School Bond Election Committee, Aspen School District Association Jeanne has also volunteered for an international non-profit Room to Read with her interest in helping girls in various parts of the world to create an opportunity to have access to education.

 

Jeanne lives in Aspen with her husband, Andrew. She enjoys skiing, hiking, biking, traveling, and yoga.
